Manufacturing or construction sector, your salary will be 3x higher than others sector. The salary which earned by Offshore workers in entry level position like roustabout, floorman, you can get upwards of $45,000 per year, by working 6 or 8 months works, without college degree.
Many offshore oil workers cannot endure the physical hardships they face - the 12-hour shifts of hard physical work in a dangerous environment, the need to do this work non- stop for two to three weeks without a break (there are no weekends on board an oil rig and operations run 24x7), and having to work night-shifts. Although accommodations are provided for free and fairly comfortable, many are also unable to deal with the noise which goes on day and night.
 But not everyone can work in the offshore field. Offshore only accepted people who have specific skills and expertise with very strict requirements set by the company. To work in offshore platform, there are requirements that must be met include:
1. You must be at least 18 years old.
2. The main requirements is good health, you are required to work for 12 hours a day, with a schedule           depending on company  policy, usually 28/28 on / off, 35/35 on / off. You must perform medical tests       and pass a physical examination, including examination of a spinal X-ray, you also have to perform           free  examinations drugs.
3. Education.
    For an entry level position dont need formal education,  the ability and skill you have is very                   important,  you also have to work  hard, diligent and follow your senior instructions.
4.  Experience.
    The more you experience, the more you have a big chance of being accepted to work offshore. If you       are inexperienced, you have to quickly learn and honest as the main requirement. Do not give false           information when applying for jobs, because when in an interview, you will be question in detail about       your capasity and skills and how to deal with problems  which may arise during works.
5.  Ambition and interest.
    The company very fond of people who have an interest and curiosity was stronger when working,             people who work with  passion, will work diligently and give the best.
6. Training & Advancement.
    Certification is very important and is required to be able to join. Some companies now require                  certification from the Coast Guard Approved certification agency. In  order to get  Reviews These              certifications, you will have to go to a specialty school. Advancement and Training Outside schools            include Able Seaman, Life Boatman, Master, Offshore Drilling Units, Marine  Firefighting, EMD                  Maintenance and Operation (representing the Electric Motor Division of General Motors), etc.
